National Maternity Benefit Scheme

This Scheme was implemented in 2001 by Government of India Rs.500/- is given to all pregnant Women from Below Poverty Line for the first 2 pregnancies to unable them to avail nutritious food and medicine. This amount is given in one instalment 12-8 weeks prior to the delivery.

Exgratia amount for Sterilisation failure and Sterilisation Death

  • Rs.20,000/- from 29.11.05 is given in the case or failure of Sterilisation Operation
  • Rs. 25,000/- is given to the legal heirs of the deceased who dies due to Sterilisation Operation within 30 days. Rs.1,00,000/- is given from the Insurance Company to the legal heirs of the deceased if the death takes place within the Hospital

IEC component plays a vital role in the promotion of Family Welfare and Immunization activities offered by the District Family Welfare Bureau. IEC is a concentrated, preplanned educational endeavor with specific objectives focused towards specific programme goals in order to reach specific audience in individual, group and mass settings through the skillful use of proper methods and media. IEC is an important component of the project which facilitates the progress of the project in the right direction. A Healthy Project requires effective communication. A poor communication lowers the morale and reduces the productivity of the Project.
